1. Overview

ImageConverte ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website at imageconverte.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our image conversion and background removal tools.

2. Your Images Stay on Your Device

We never upload, transmit, or store your images. All image processing — format conversion (WebP, AVIF) and AI background removal — runs entirely inside your web browser using WebAssembly and ONNX Runtime Web. Your files never leave your device.

This is a fundamental architectural choice, not just a policy. There is no server infrastructure capable of receiving your images because none exists.

3. Information We Collect

We do not collect:

• Your images or any processed output
• Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers
• Account or registration data (we have no accounts)
• Payment information (the service is free)

We do collect anonymized analytics data through Google Analytics (see Section 4).

4. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site — for example, which tools are most popular and which pages receive traffic. Google Analytics collects:

• Pages visited and time spent
• General geographic region (country/city level)
• Browser type and device category
• Referring websites

This data is aggregated and anonymized. We do not use it to identify individual users. Google's privacy policy applies to data processed through Google Analytics. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

5. Cookies

We only use cookies placed by Google Analytics for analytics purposes. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any first-party cookies. See our Cookie Policy for full details.

6. Third-Party Services

The AI background removal model (RMBG-1.4) is downloaded from Hugging Face's CDN when you first use the Remove Background tool. Hugging Face may log standard HTTP request metadata (IP address, user agent) as part of normal CDN operation. We do not share any personal data with Hugging Face.

Our site is hosted on Railway. Railway may process standard server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) for operational purposes.

7. Children's Privacy

ImageConverte is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
